I’ve purchased two of these Valley Forge poles in the past ten years. Both poles eventually broke at one of the joints. I’m now looking at possibly getting a steel pole, or at least one that will hold up to 40 mph winds.
The flag pole is made of rugged aluminum sections that fit perfectly. Followed simple installation instructions and I had the flag flying in less than 30 minutes. Of course, digging the hole, pouring cement and curing time took a day but that was the method I chose to install my flag. I’m satisfied with the results. This item is not perfect because it is aluminum, the pole dose shake in the wind. But I like it.
This company advertises 3-5 delivery. I ordered a 20 ft. flagpole kit for my husband late on 6/14/2010. It arrived today, 6/17/2010! Just in time for his birthday and as pictured. I got this for my husband for his birthday and he loved it. I needed one that could withstand high winds and so far so good. Love the sleek look and design. Easy to install too.
