The United States Armed Forces have a whole set of different military flags for use with flagpoles and such. The Armed Forces include the Army, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marine Corps. All of these each have their own identifying banner. Within each branch, various flags fly on various occasions during the year, and on various military vessels, camps and academies.

This post present a few interesting facts with regards to the United States Air Force flag. It displays a coat of arms, 13 white stars and the Air Force Seal on a blue colored background. As with other flags from U.S. flagpoles, the Air Force flag also displays 13 stars, which represent the 13 original colonies. The group of stars (3) displayed in the upper or top section of the flag represent the 3 different departments of the National Defense Establishment. The American eagle is also displayed. Other elements including the cloud formation stands for or represents the creation of a new firmament. Interestingly, the indoor parade version of Air Force flags are bordered with gold colored fringe.

Military flags need to be officially adopted by a U.S. president. The Air Force flag was officially adopted by President Truman back in 1951.

Fascinatingly, if there is a period of time when the Coastguard if functioning as part of the Navy, the Coast Guard flag should precede the Air Force flag.

Military flags can be seen flying from flagpoles and such all over the world. The U.S. military is one of the largest armies in the world. To keep the military forces “up and running,” the United allocates or spends close to 700 billion Dollars per year. A little less than half of these funds are spend on world military related activities.

Flags of all kinds, including military flags for use with flagpoles and more are available at flag suppliers throughout the United States.

I once lived in an English town called Waterlooville which was named after the famous battle of Waterloo and as such I have decided to write about one of British History’s greatest Icons the Duke of Wellington who saved Europe and helped in the peace in Europe for nearly 100 years. The Battle of Waterloo took place near Waterloo, Belgium on June 18th 1815. In this battle, the forces of the French Empire under the leadership of Michael Ney and the Dictator Napoleon Bonaparte were defeated.

Cigarettes. We Used To Light Much More

Will the 21st century see the demise of the old friend from five centuries back the modest cigarette, gasper, fag, smoke and its other many names? What is the number of people have done it; sneak to the back the school boiler room, the small hidden corner in the garden as well as other various spots, for the sly smoke. This reviewer’s hand goes up. I too happened to be a big enthusiast of the advert played on radio and TV.
