The United States Armed Forces have a whole set of different military flags for use with flagpoles and such. The Armed Forces include the Army, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marine Corps. This post present a few interesting facts with regards to the United States Air Force flag. It displays a coat of arms, 13 white stars and the Air Force Seal on a blue colored background. As with other flags from U.S. flagpoles, the Air Force flag also displays 13 stars, which represent the 13 original colonies. The group of stars (3) displayed in the upper or top section of the flag represent the 3 different departments of the National Defense Establishment. The American eagle is also displayed. Other elements including the cloud formation stands for or represents the creation of a new firmament. Interestingly, the indoor parade version of Air Force flags are bordered with gold colored fringe. Military flags need to be officially adopted by a U.S. president.
