Just once I think it would be appropriate for some group, agency, or center to include the voice of the people in their planning. To give you a better understanding of my frustration I must proclaim my position and live with it. I am a conservative Democrat. However I am also open to new ideas promoting the best interest of America. The point wasted on me the VAP and groups like it are working so hard to make is why the drive to quickly and “fundamentally transform”, our country into a place unrecognizable to those who helped create and protect it? What is the end goal? Total control of every detail of our lives? As if suddenly we are unable to decide what is best for ourselves? I don’t think progressives want the answer to the question, which I think is why in part why we aren’t being asked. However, is it a stretch to think the progressives are so hell bent on dismantling the system; they would manufacture a climate conducive to their cause? Or even a real one? Ignoring completely the situation causing the problems in the first place? What time are we living in when a student crafts an image of our flag in class and she is told it is offensive. To whom? Every time we are told or “asked” to curve our patriotism are we giving up more ground to those who wish to see America redefined as a pure socialist society? at the heart of their ability to speak their minds, print what they want print, and support what they want is the Constitution. Nowhere else in the world does a country do it’s best to protect those who wish to destroy it. The fact is these progressives aren’t going away and let unchallenged, they will have their day. Can there be no middle ground? No vision of the future we all can share? Must these movements be in the form of absolutes or ultimatums? For too long we have had no voice in our republic, always defending ourselves from too much left, too must right, or too my progressives. I don’t wish to give up any more ground to those masked with the intent to protect and stand up for the rights of others. All the while moving us in the direction of ruin or at least the ruin of America as we know it. I am just saying…
